Is Compeer for You?

If you struggle with your mental well being, find that you are spending too much time alone and often wish you had just one friend with whom to do things and with whom you can be comfortable, we might be able to help. We can match you up with a person that wants to spend time with someone like you!

What a Volunteer Is:
Compeer volunteers come from all walks of life - all ages, religions and ethnicities. They choose to donate their time to help provide social support outside the mental health system. Many have been touched by mental illness - either themselves,by a family member or a friend - so they bring a special understanding to the relationship.

Once you are matched, your Compeer will get together with you about four hours per month. You'll spend time doing things both of you already enjoy, such as walking in the park, going out for coffee, eating out, attending community and sporting events, seeing plays and movies, playing games - or just talking.
